Discovery and adventure are not only for the young, they are for the young at heart! If you've been longing to explore the history, the tastes, the wine, and the people of Italy, this trip is designed especially for you.
We are excited to offer a unique Adventure for the second time in the fall of 2015. This novel trip will focus on what many love most about Italy – FOOD - with special culinary offerings each day. Our inspiration for hosting such a trip springs from our dream to experience firsthand the olive harvest!
Olives, a vital component of the Umbrian culture and economy, are picked and pressed in the fall. Nothing compares to tasting oil just moments after it is pressed. We want to savor this with you! We have built the itinerary around a day spent in the orchards, learning how to pluck ripe olives off silvery olive trees. Olives in hand, we'll continue on to the olive mill to witness the first pressing, then tasting fresh milled oil on crusty bruschetta. We'll complete the day by proudly walking away with our very own oil.
The entire week will be filled with exceptional food-related events. Imagine:
We'll also explore some of the lesser known, seldom seen sights in Orvieto. And of course we will lead you to the best restaurants in the city. Each day will give you free time to wander the cobblestones of beautiful Orvieto, making your own discoveries.
Olive harvest, multiple tastings, several cooking classes, insider views of Bella Orvieto, and endless fun eating and sipping. We want to share it all with you!

Day 2 - Orientation walking tour, introduction to Italian culture, guided tour of the stunning
