Trip Description
For most people, there is something seductive about how Italians live. What is that exactly? How do you put your finger on it? Is it just because it is an exotic place, or is it something more? This trip explores how Italians live the sweet life.

The use of senses, living in the moment, paying attention to detail all come alive through encounters with the Italians in Orvieto. While we can talk about these approaches to daily living, experiencing first hand how another culture lives is not only instructive, it is inspiring. Meet with people who bring passion to their lives and what they do. See simplicity in action. Begin to feel how rhythm, routine, rest, recreation, and ritual play a vital role in an artful life. Feel and experience the rewards. This is a week of sheer pleasure,an awakening to the richness of Italian living, and insights into the possibilities for our own lives.

Meet Kristi and Bill
We have followed nontraditional paths, earning our livings from work for which we felt special purpose and mission. It has been gratifying. For the last ten years, however, as our kids emptied the nest, we began, as many adults at this stage do, to look deeper. Italy has played a role with revelations and inspiration. The result is Italy Discovery Tours.

Since 1993 we have been exploring Italy, coming to know her patterns, rhythms, people, customs, secrets, joys. Each trip leaves us full. We remark how we are never so much ourselves as we are in Italy. This simple fact, and exploring why it is so, has led us to design Life as Art. Our hope is to pass along Italy's lessons so you can enjoy them as well!
