JD Jarvis writes - “Digital is not here to put an end to anything. Rather it is here to expand all things, to combine and to make more things attainable.
“For the artist, it is the edgiest work of all; the biggest, most exciting challenge in a long history of the synthesis between technology and hand and mind and heart.”
With that in mind, Marie Otero and Karen Burns invite you to join them on an amazing “new age” photographic and digital painting journey in the beautiful historic hill town of Orvieto, where we will use our cameras to capture the essence of life and the landscape, and using the newest of new technology and software, translate those images into one of a kind digital paintings.
During this weeklong workshop we will not only spend time exploring and enjoying the rich cultural elements of Orvieto, we will be taking lots of digital photographs along the way. Marie and Karen will be on hand helping you to learn more about your camera and equipment and ensuring you know how to capture that perfect moment - be it photographing the landscape, the amazing architecture or deep down a dark wine cave… your skilled instructors will help you get it right!
We will then be taking your images back to the Studio and spend time together learning how best to process those images in Lightroom and/or Photoshop and how to give them that fantastic zing you see in those travel magazines!
As if that was not enough, we are also going to embark on some creative explorations and work together to show you how to craft those images into fabulous one of a kind Digital Paintings using the modern day tools of choice, Corel Painter and Photoshop.
Your week of photography and digital art explorations will leave you with a wonderful portfolio of images to document this fabulous experience.
Our workshop days will include daily field trips with photography instruction and Photoshop and Corel 2015 Painter demonstrations and instruction in the Studio.
Outside of the classroom you will:
